3 Simple & Useful Practices You Should Develop in 2022.

So… 2022 is finally here and all that. I guess that means all that stuff we didn’t do in the last year, we’re definitely gonna do this year. Right?

Well…

you know yourself, so only you can answer that question 🙂

Regardless, it has been an amazing start to 2022 for me. And with my current focus and dedication towards achieving my goals, this year can only get better. I also hope this is the exact same for you.

However, if you are uncertain about how to stay motivated in achieving both your personal and business goals this year, know that I’ve got your back. So allow me to share 3 useful & simple practices that could help you.

1. Get a Daily Planner.

Anyone who is serious about meeting their objectives will keep a daily planner. Some people simply set up alarms and appointments on their phones. If it helps you, then great. But if you’re here, then I highly doubt that’s the case.

Believe me. There is a certain magic that comes with actually writing stuff down and ticking them off as they are completed – that is a simple fact. Even I cannot explain it, but I find that it is a lot easier to remember most of my tasks when I have them written down. It also helps that I check my planner regularly out of habit. So try it. Buy yourself a planner, and thank me later.

2. Get a Vision Board.

Another one of my personal cheats to maintain focus. If you do not want to get a wooden board and glue printed, colourful cutouts on them like I do, then that is absolutely fine.

At the very least, get a sheet of paper and write down your short term goals. Your short term goals should be the things you want to achieve in a week, a month, a quarter or a year(maximum). Whichever time-frame you choose is up to you. The most important thing is to actually write down those goals and put them where you can always see them. The door into your bedroom would be a great example.

3. Attend Networking Events.

Finally, if you are looking to increase your business connections or simply interact with people who have similar hobbies/interests, then you will have to look beyond your current circle of friends. If you are generally shy or unsure about meeting people in person due to COVID-19, there are virtual groups that organize periodical meetups – language exchanges, business networking zoom calls, you name it. You could join any of these first and ease yourself into the process.

Meetup is an especially great app/website that brings professionals and people with similar hobbies together. I began to use it recently in my search for a freelance graphic designer in Dublin to team up with.

You can try to find similar activities like this in your area. Who knows? You could be surprised with the results. Remember, you may try and get little result, but you won’t get any results if you do not try.

And there you have it!

That’s my welcome message to you for the year. Now it’s your turn. Did you find the above tips helpful? Or do you think otherwise? If so, kindly share with us in the comments.

Happy New Year 🙂
